Music Says Go

Friends—welcome to my website. I've been writing songs about life, love, nature and spirit my whole life. Thanks to some great friends who helped me, my first CD is now available: Music Says Go.

The title song was inspired by the lives and work of Sleepy John Estes and Hammie Nixon, blues musicians. In an interview, Hammie said that he'd been married twelve or thirteen times, but every time he settled down, here would come John, and he'd take off to go play music—even left his plow and mule standing in the field once. So this song tells a little bit of his story, and it became a metaphor for me --how we have to follow the spirit wherever it takes us. Music says go--
